Disclaimer: There is a reason that dermatology is a specialty among medical professionals. There is a real knack that goes with this profession.

In Chiropractic school, as well as in Massage Therapy school, we get quite a bit of training on skin conditions, but even with seeing it twice and seeing some of those things several times in practice, I made a mistake with one patient. He had a single line of painful pustules following what could easily have been a nerve path along the face. To my eyes it looked exactly like other cases of shingles I had seen. In fact the medical doctor who examined him thought at first that I might be right, but he had seen enough more than me to ask some follow-up questions. He discovered that it was actually impetigo! Knowing that it was that was important, of course, since impetigo is caused by a bacterial infection, which can be contagious.

Having said that, there are some conditions which are USUALLY easy to recognize. In each of these cases, we have treatments which are simple and effective. If something does not respond to these treatments, be sure to get an opinion from a medical doctor, if not a dermatologist. if you have already had a medical opinion, get another one if the body does not respond to care. The protocols we use are effective, so expect results!

Various skin fungus: This can range from infection you can only see after a hot shower or while sweating to ringworm, which is a fungus that leaves a dark discolored mark. In any case, however, the basic design of fungal infections is most commonly predictable and easy to recognize. It will create a raised irritated and rounded border (may or may not be round or varied in shape, but always with a gentle, arcing, rounded edge) with a slight sheen, like the slightest hint of pulled skin and discoloration in the middle (which might be a variety of sizes). It progresses slowly and may expand, as tinea versicolor does, in a general area--or it may pop up here and there all over the body as ringworm does.

In the majority of cases alternating miracle splash with black walnut tincture in topical applications will usually cure it in a few days. I have my patients do an application of one or the other about every hour all day long. I expect a cure in 5 days at most.

Once, I had a case which would go away and then come back within a couple weeks and continued to spread. This case got her mercury amalgam fillings removed and all the fungus was gone forever in 3 days. So, weird things happen with poisons entering our bodies.

Scalp fungus: This can also be on the scalp, creating flaking and dandruff. Actually, any flaking or dandruff on the scalp gets the same treatment from me, which is this: I apply miracle splash to the scalp liberally and thoroughly at night and then rinse it out (so shampoo or conditioner) the next day. Usually, this is a cure the very first time.
