Marshmallow root is immune modulating.  It is very helpful for any out of balance immune system.  I also use marshmallow capsules with slippery elm and licorice for diverticulosis.  Dosage of marshmallow root should be determined on a case by case basis.  Since it is harmless, however, it is safe to experiment.  Normally, I would expect the dosage for immune modulation to be 6-8 capsules one time each day.  For diverticulosis, I recommend 6 capsules each of marshmallow root and slippery elm bark, and one capsule of Licorice root.
